Silk is a Canadian born academic. She was raised in Fredericton. Silk is the daughter of Peter, an academic, as well as Ilkay Silk, a prominent actor, director, producer, writer, teacher, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna remembers her mother working and attending play rehearsals. Silk made several commercials while she was still a kid. She completed a Bachelors of Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas produced two of its first productions, Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk started her career in acting after moving to Toronto Canada at the end of November in 1999. After that, she relocated to Los Angeles for the remainder of the decade. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, after they met at an actor'sworkshop located in Los Angeles. They were married in the civil ceremony on December 10th, 2009 after they became engaged. In Fredericton on the 10th April of 2011, after her change to Judaism the couple renewed their vows at a Jewish marriage ceremony.
